My name is Mrs. Garrison and I teach 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Computer Science classes at Impact Academy. I am also the coach for our middle school competition robotics club. I have a Bachelor's of Science in Middle Grades Education from Georgia State Univeristy as well as an endorsement in Computer Science education. I am married and have four grown children who have all attended Impact Academy and have graduated from Henry County schools. I have been on staff with Impact Academy for 6 years, but my involvement as a parent with Impact goes back many years prior. I am blessed to have experience as both a parent and a staff member of Impact Academy.
"Computer Science (CS) education in Georgia is evolving into an integral part of our K-12 curriculum, expanding far beyond its origins as a set of high school electives. As we embrace an increasingly digital world, our education system is transforming to ensure that every student is equipped with the essential skills to succeed. Today’s students need digital literacy, digital competency, and computational thinking. By embedding CS education throughout the K-12 experience, we are empowering the next generation to tackle challenges and thrive in a tech-driven future. " - Ga Department of Education
