Foundations of Secure Information Systems
This course will provide an exploratory foundation in information systems, networking, and cybersecurity. Through integrated instructional activities, students will have opportunities to apply employability skills and to research possible career options in the information technology area. They will also complete many hands-on activities and projects to build a foundation in computer hardware and connectivity, software and introductory programming, networking, and introductory digital citizenship/cybersecurity. Additionally, students will study the history of computers and computing technology, problem solving, and computational thinking.
Course content will follow the Georgia Department of Education’s standards for middle school Foundations of Secure Information Systems.

Basics of Cybersecurity
