Attendance will be taken each period on live instruction days. All teachers must take attendance within the first 15 minutes of class.
If a student is more than 15 minutes late to class, but remains in class for the entire class period, the student will be marked tardy in IC.
If the student arrives to class on time, but leaves within the last 15 minutes of class, the student will be marked tardy in IC.
If the student arrives on time or after the first 15 minutes of class and leaves anytime prior to the last 15 minutes of class, the student will be marked absent in IC.
Students who do not attend class at all will be marked absent in IC.
Students who are not actively participating and engaged in class may be removed from the virtual classroom and will be counted absent. Active participation is defined as, but not limited to, asking and answering questions, commenting in the chat, having an active screen on Go Guardian, engaging in collaborative online documents. It is required that you use your Henry County Chromebook in order to be visible on Go Guardian during Live Meets.

Welcome to Impact Academy While this year brings new challenges to the learning environment, rest assured that I am here to help you.
The courses I teach are: Legal Environment of Business , Intro to Business Technology and Entrepreneurship
The syllabus for each course is located on my teacher’s webpage, which you can access from the Impact Academy’s website at https://schoolwires.henry.k12.ga.us under the tab labeled Teacher Sites. The syllabus provides general information about the course, grading guidelines, and scheduled meeting times for classes.
I will provide coursework and course updates regularly through the Google Classroom for each course. Students will receive an invitation to join the classroom, and are expected to participate in classes every day, as attendance will be taken daily.
Outside of class meeting times, I am available for instructional support and tutorial assistance. Please refer to the syllabus for instructional support and tutorial times.
