Welcome to Tucker LIEP!

The LIEP program at Tucker High School supports our Multilingual Learners to be life ready by fostering language acquisition and building upon students’ diverse experiences and funds of knowledge. LIEP services aid Multilingual Learners to support their access to the mainstream curriculum.

In dedicated and co-taught LIEP courses, students collaborate, communicate, and learn to think creatively while building content knowledge and enriching their English proficiency and academic vocabulary. Students develop critical thinking skills by engaging in a variety of multi-curricular, collaborative projects.

LIEP provides Multilingual Learners of all linguistic backgrounds the opportunity to engage in communities of practice and make meaningful contributions as global citizens of quality character.

We welcome our LIEP families into an educational partnership with the goal of encouraging the success of our Multilingual Learners both in and out of the classroom.

Inspired by the values of honesty, effort, acceptance, respect, and teamwork, we are committed to supporting each of our students with the HEART OF A TIGER!
