Zoom - Chat with Your Class!
Zoom is a great way to connect with your teacher and classmates during this time. There are several ways to access Zoom, so here are videos explaining each method. You can use it on your phone, through your Internet browser, through a Chrome app, or through a download on your computer. Zoom looks a little different in each one, so choose the one you like best. Have fun!
Zoom on a Phone
This video walks through each step:
Download the Zoom app from the App store on your phone
Hit "Join a Meeting" and enter the code your teacher sent
Allow the app to use your camera and microphone (you can turn it off once you are in the Zoom meeting)
Mute your microphone when not talking so it doesn't bother others
Zoom in the Browser
This video walks through each step:
In the Chome browser, search "Zoom" and click the link
Hit "Join a Meeting" at the top, and enter the code your teacher sent
If you don't want to download the app, you may need to hit "Cancel" a few times until you see: "join from the browser" at the bottom. Click it
Allow Zoom to use your microphone and webcam (mute your microphone when not used)
Zoom Chrome App
This video walks through each step:
In the Chrome browser, search "Zoom Chrome app," click the link, and Install the app.
Now you can find it by clicking the "Apps" button in the far left of the tool bar. Open the Zoom app.
Hit "Join a meeting" and enter the code your teacher sent.
Allow Zoom to use your microphone and webcam (mute your microphone when not used)
Zoom Download
You can download Zoom on your computer. This video shows how it is done on a Mac, but the process is similar on a Windows computer.
Download and install the Zoom app from the Zoom website.
Open the app, sign in with your Google account, and hit "Join a meeting"
Enter the code your teacher sent
Hit "Join with Video" and "Join with Computer Audio" (mute your microphone when not talking)
