Mr. Ryan Stein, our Collaborative Principal, feels lucky to be a part of the Greenwood family and firmly believes that nothing great can be accomplished without enthusiasm. For the past 17 years, Mr. Stein has been recognized by Henrico County Public Schools, the State of Virginia, and on a national scale as an elite educator and pioneer for student engagement, innovation and achievement, and enhancing a sense of belonging. He conducts college and teaching workshops, sharing his enthusiasm and innovative ideas on how to differentiate, engage, and inspire students. He has created a music album, Ryan Stein Presents History MVP, containing 20 songs filled with social studies content. Recently, he has written a book titled Lifeline 65: How Small Connections and Big Enthusiasm Can Change Education. Mr. Stein is a 2004 Randolph Macon graduate. He received his master’s degree in Administration and Supervision from Liberty University. As the principal at Greenwood Elementary School, his top priorities will remain safety in the building, student achievement, health and wellness of our students and staff, and continued improvement of instruction that supports the development of deeper learning environments and experiences. His Greenwood Gators will once again be empowered to take risks, held accountable for their own learning, inspired to think critically, and energized to serve outside of the school walls. Under Mr. Stein's dedicated leadership, our administration, teachers, and staff will continue to support the foundation of social and emotional development for our future community leaders as they begin their journey to become college and career ready. As a father, student, teacher, and administrator, Mr. Ryan Stein has a true passion for making a difference in the lives of children.
Mrs. Lesha Jackson, Associate Principal, began her teaching career at Skipwith Elementary School, after completing her master’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Virginia in 1992. She taught third and fourth grades for several years at Skipwith before transitioning to administration and to Greenwood in 2004. Mrs. Jackson is married and has two adult children. After 30 years of being in education, she is still as passionate about students as her first day in the classroom. Her educational philosophy is that there is no one-size-fits-all model for teaching and reaching students; fair and equal are not the same. Her vision for the year is to create a safe, welcoming space for students and staff to be their best. She knows that one of Greenwood’s greatest assets is its diversity. Mrs. Jackson believes that students are our greatest treasure and that we learn so much from our interactions with them. Her plan for the year is to continue to build relationships, plant seeds of possibility, and encourage courageous conversations with all stakeholders. She is excited to work with students and staff to create a magical and memorable school year!

Her philosophy and vision is centered around love and empowerment! Loving each and every child that walks through the doors and making sure they feel that love and safe space that Greenwood offers! Ms. Eberhard loves spending time with her 4-year-old son, Caleb, and exploring new parks and things to do around town! She can’t wait to have an amazing year full of magic with our Greenwood Gators!
