Selection Process:

• Students meeting the eligibility requirements will be notified in the fall of each school year

• Students wishing to seek membership in NHS will complete the candidate information packet by the specified date

• Faculty and staff will evaluate each student on character

• Community service hours recorded at the school will be collected

• Candidate Information Packets, faculty evaluations, and community service evidence of each student will be reviewed by a Faculty Council

• The faculty council will determine selection criteria based on submissions received and select students for membership

• Students will be notified of selection on or before November 1st
