This is a two-story building with a smaller attic space that encompasses more than 4,000 square feet of space. Live fire training is allowed in this structure (see SOP for requirements to train with live fire). There are multiple forcible entry doors, a “Denver Drill” box, interior stairwell, scuttle hatch attic access, VEIS window props, three live fire rooms and a smoke barrel room. The roof also has a pitched roof prop for use with aerial operations. This structure follows strict regulations from Blue Ridge Community College and NC OSFM for use. This structure can be used for almost any structural or smaller-industrial based training for fire, rescue, EMS, or law enforcement training.
Use of this building MUST be coordinated via BRCC Fire & Rescue Training Coordinator
Approved NCOSFM Live Burn Instructor will be on site prior to the burn beginning and remain on site throughout entirety of the burn
Pre-Burn paperwork MUST be submitted 24 hrs prior to scheduled burn
Post-Burn paperwork MUST be submitted 24 hrs after scheduled burn
ALL injuries must be reported to BRCC Fire and Rescue Training Coordinator & NCOSFM
