• Read the story with AAC user selecting the words on their device that correspond with the page.  Remember it is not necessary to model every word. Focus on core vocabulary. 

• Read the story again pausing to allow AAC user to respond using their device. If they do not respond after several seconds model again the words you want them to use.

• Continue to model and practice.
