Students that enroll in CTE classes earn college credit and high school credits.
In CTE courses, students earn 5 credits per semester, with a passing grade of a D or better.
The diagram (left) displays the A-G requirements for the CSU and UC Universities.
MSJC credits are only awarded to students using the following criteria:
Students MUST pass the CTE COURSE with a B or better in the class AND
a C or better on the final exam/portfolio (this exam depends on the course taken)
Students MUST apply to MSJC and receive a student ID number AND be registered in the catema program in order to receive their credit.
The CTE teacher assigns grades through catema to MSJC at the end of the semester/year. This process is a lengthy one, so please see the articulation page for more information.
