What is articulation?
Articulation is the agreement between the high school and the college of choice to award college credits while enrolled in a high school course.
In this process, students need to complete 2 registrations: The California Community college application for MSJC and the Catema registration.

Full name
Date of Birth
Social security number
Address
HS transcript(from previous year)

Create a CCC apply account using your email and information (address, phone number, date of birth, etc)

Follow these steps:
Check your application status shown in your CCCApply account (linked here)
If a student recently submitted an application, we can use the Application ID listed under Submitted Applications to look into it. However, there are a few things to check first:
Students who have applied previously: If a student submitted a new application but has applied to MSJC before, they will not receive another Welcome Email. The Welcome Email is only sent automatically after their first application. They can request a new Welcome Email (https://selfservice.msjc.edu/requestWelcome/) using the same email address they used to apply.
Students with older applications: If a student's most recent application was for Fall 2025 or earlier, and they have had no registration activity since then, they will need to submit a new application before they can use the Welcome Email request feature. Please note that articulation credit does not count as registration activity.
If you have completed these steps and still need assistance, please email MSJC directly with your name and Application ID so they can investigate further.
