Aulay took on a starring role in the school production this year The Little Shop of Horrors as a scary dentist ... lots of lines and moves to learn, bags of confidence required, and Aulay did it all with tons of charisma! He is also a keen bass player with Rock School.
Danielle was instrumental in the organisation of the Post 16 Panto Cinderella, and has just had some poetry published in this collection. Following her work experience, she has been working with Tate St Ives on several projects including their podcasts and an interactive exhibition booklet. She is a creative powerhouse and always finds time to support and encourage other students too.
Former Media and Photography student Aiden has just won two awards for his University final year documentary.
During his time at Uni studying TV Production, Aiden has done work for Sony Pictures films in Hungary and worked on sets for the BBC and Channel 4 too. He has also produced content for some of the big Youtube channels he put on his Vision Dashboard he wanted to work for in Year 12!
A shout out to Lola who was one of the winning students in the competition to design a poster for this year's big Faculty production. Her 'Audrey' is genuinely gruesome and terrifying. She really captured the spirit of the show!
It was brilliant in the Summer Term to welcome back Curt, who left HCC in 2017. Curt studied Photography, Film Studies and Drama in the Faculty and is now training to be a Drama teacher at Bath Spa Uni.
He really enjoyed catching up with some of his old teachers and seeing how the Faculty has changed when he visited us for a few days, to gain some more experience of Post 16 teaching.
'I started playing piano aged 10 and quickly got interested in jazz through HSJO and Richard Penrose’s piano lessons. I have since put together the ‘Disciples of Funk’ – jazz combo group – playing at Falmouth Poly, Summer Balls, prom and some busking. I’ve also played in the Fast Track band (Clive’s Big Band) as well as performing in a trio at the Big Kettle in St. Ives. I’m really looking forward to heading off to Guildhall in London for four years studying jazz and being poor!'
