ANNUAL PRODUCTION

Take part in a musical or regular play - parts available to all year groups and auditions held in the Autumn Term. The production happens in March - in 2022 we performed the smash hit musical comedy The Little Shop of Horrors, so watch this space for 2023!

lamda coaching

LAMDA is a Drama School in London which runs Drama exams across the country just like music grades. We're the first state school in Cornwall to offer this! It's a great opportunity for students from Year 7 right through to Year 13 build confidence, become experienced in public speaking and even gain Uni entry points. summer showcase

Showcasing student work from the LAMDA performers and our partnership with the RSC performing an extract from Much Ado About Nothing. This year's performance will be on 12th July at 6pm- come and watch!

theatre in education group

In 2022-2023 we are reviving our Theatre in Education company for KS4 and 5. Any interested students can take part in creating evocative drama pieces about the issues that matter to young people today, and learn how to devise sensitive pieces on these themes. Students will also learn how to brand themselves as a company before touring their work in local primaries.

rsc partnership

Open to all years, this project with the Royal Shakespeare Company runs all year round and involves workshop days, performance opportunities at Hall for Cornwall and in Stratford, working with other schools across the county. It's open to anyone who wants to have a go at experiencing the challenge of performing the work of of of one of our culture's most famous exports. 'Whether you are 3 or 103, we believe Shakespeare and theatre can change your life.'

POST 16 PANTO 2022

Post 16 opportunity in the Autumn Term to entertain the younger students with an adaptation of one of Roald Dahl's Revolting Rhymes in the last week before Christmas. This can count towards your Post 16 Leadership time. Last year was Cinderella - this year's will be Snow White. First meeting is on 13th September, 3.15-4.30pm in South Site Hall.
