Morning Drop Off: 8:00-8:30 (recess 8-8:15, unpack 8:15-8:30)
Morning Meeting: 8:30-9:00 (SEL, Letter of the Week, Read Aloud)
Morning Recess: 9:00-9:30
Morning Centers: 9:30-11:00
(Letters, numbers, writing, sensory/science, fine motor/art, snack)
Centers/Choice Time: 11:00-11:30
(Building, Dramatic Play, Free Art, Science Choice)
Lunch/Lunch Recess: 11:40-12:35
Bathroom/Calm Down/Rest Time: 12:35-1:00
(read aloud/cool down, 10-15 minutes of quiet rest)
Afternoon Centers 1:00-1:45
(Library, Art, Puzzles, Building, Dramatic Play)
Choice Time/Snack 1:45-2:10
End of Day/Bathroom/Pack up: 2:10-2:20 (thurs. 1:30-1:45)
Last Recess: 2:20-2:40 (mon. tues. wed. fri.)
Dismissal: 2:45-3:00 (Thursday 1:45-2:00)
Monthly Student of the Day and Snack Calendar!
At the beginning of each month I will send home a calendar assigning each student a "Student of the Day" day. On your child's day please send in a bulk snack for our class of 18. Your child will also get to sit in the special chair at the rug, be our linel eader for the day, and bring a show and share item. Each month we will have a different "theme" for our Student of the Day to help us get to know one another better!
September- All About Me (all about me poster and picture)
October- My Family (bring in family photos for our Family Wall)
November- Favorite Foods (What is your favorite meal? Favorite treat?)
December- Family Traditions (what is something your family does that you love? Movie night? Camping?)
January- Favorite Animals (What is your favorite animal? What can you tell us about it?)
February- Pets! (Do you have pets? What is your dream pet?)
March- We love to Read! (Bring in a book to share with the class)
April- Special Skill (We are all good at lots of things, can you share one with us?)
May- I am so proud of myself for.... (We all grew so much, what is your favorite thing you did?)
