Classroom Information
For the first two days of the school year (August 27th & 28th), your child will not be assigned to a specific teacher. On these days we will observe and interact with students between all five classrooms, giving them a chance to interact with many different peers. We want to find the right fit for your child to ensure they have the best year possible!
On Friday, September 4th we will make official class rosters. You will receive a Class Dojo invitation via email from your child’s homeroom teacher. This is the platform we use for communication throughout the school year. The following Tuesday, your child will begin with their designated teacher/classroom.
Schedule for the first two days:
Thursday
9:00-11:00
Parent meeting at 9:00 in the building 4 auditorium.
Drop students off at building #2, teachers will be there to meet them and help them transition.
Students will go out to play with the paraprofesonals and additional staff while the teachers meet with you for about 30 minutes.
Please plan on picking your student up at 11am on this day.
Friday
8:25-11:00
Drop your student off at building 2.

Morning Drop Off (between 8:00-8:25): Front office
Early morning recess runs from 8:00-8:15
Students transition from the playground to the classroom at 8:15.
Tardy bell rings at 8:25
After School Pick Up (between 2:45-3:00 MTWF, 1:45-2:00 TH): Outside your students classroom door.
Kids will sit alongside the building
Parents must check out their student before we will release them.
We pack up and head out closer to 2:45, this is to help you beat some of the congestion that can be afterschool pick up!
Please note that if you are having your child use our bus system, this is not available to any ELP students until the end of September!

Our program strongly emphasizes the importance of family involvement and will have a variety of events throughout the school year that we hope you can be a part of. We will not start inviting volunteers in for the first month or two. During this time students are still adjusting to being at school and away from you, we want them to feel confident and ensure that volunteering is a positive experience for everyone!
