These boards are made out of sustainably harvested lumber, mostly western cedar which is known for its durability and impressive strength/weight ratio. The exterior of the board is made of thin strips of cedar that are glued onto the internal frame. The hollow interior is designed using a CNC machine to precisely cut out each individual part making sure its a perfect fit. The reason we use a hollow core design is to help reduce the overall weight of the board. In the end the final product has a very similar weight to its foam counterparts but is substantially stronger and contains less toxic materials. These paddle boards are functional and visually appealing.
The picture above shows the board that the graduating class of 2023 nearly finished. With some final touches put on after the end of the school year, it was water ready.
