There is no required homework for third grade students in my classroom. I will send home a weekly sheet that has a guideline for reading and math fluency with the overall goals for the end of 3rd grade. It also has a play and citizenship opportunity. These are just suggestions to help with what you already do at home.
I highly recommend that students read and practice their math facts at home, however, there is no grade consequence for students who do not participate with the suggested worksheet.
If students do not complete their weekly work in math or reading, there is a chance that a student may have homework, but that will be communicated directly by your child's math or reading teacher.
Finally, a Behavior Chart will be sent home each Friday. This is located in the back of your child's Friday Folder. At the bottom of the behavior chart is a box for you as a parent/guardian to initial every week. Please return these folders every Monday.
