The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is a way to get FREE money from the government based on your family's income level and need. All you need is your SSN, a parent or guardian's SSN and your tax information from 2021. 

Get Started By Creating An FSA ID

8 STEPS TO FILL OUT THE FAFSA

  • Create an FSA ID 
  • Do NOT use your school email
  • Parents and Students should make separate accounts 
  • You will need your SSN
  • Start the FAFSA
  • Choose the 2024-2025 Form. 
  • You MUST give the FAFSA consent to see your IRS Tax filings.
  • I you do not consent you will not be given ANY money. 
  • Make sure you enter your personal information exactly as it appears on your Social Security card. (no nicknames)
  • Add every school you’re considering, even if you haven’t sent your application. 
  • The FAFSA has increased to allow 20 schools
  • If you are unsure about your dependency status you can check here
  • If your parents are married you should include both of them.
  • If you live with one parent, you only need to include them.

  • FAFSA has increased the number of students able to qualify for the PELL Grant. 
  • If you make $60,000 or less you will recieve the PELL Grant.
  • Both the student and parent will need to sign the form.
  • The easiest way to sign is by using your FSA IDs
  • YOU'RE DONE! WOOHOO!

Remember: The Fafsa must be completed every year you wish to receive financial aid.
