1) Click on this link to the Google for Education Teacher Center.
2) In the Teacher Center navigation at the top of the page, navigate to "Certifications."
3) A menu will drop down, navigate to "Overview."
4) Because the district will be paying you for obtaining Level 2 certification, you will need to sign into the site using your @hebronschools.k12.in.us account.
5) Once you have created your account, the work and training that you complete will be saved to your account so you can pick where you left off at any time.
6) From the Overview page, find the section, "Earn your Educator Level 1 Certification" and click on "Get started."
7) Once on the Level 1 page, you will need to decide if you wish to take the Level 1 exam immediately or go through the training modules.
7a) If you are comfortable with a wide variety of Google apps, you may register for the test immediately by clicking on "Register." The test is 3 hours in length and consists of a mix of multiple choice questions and assessment tasks. You can register for the test immediately, but you will not able to take the test for a few days. The amount of time you actually spend working on the test will depend on your familiarity with the apps and ideas being tested.
7b) If you would like to begin the training, scroll down to "Fundamentals Training" and click on "Start training." The Level 1 training modules are divided into 13 units and could take up to 15 hours to completely work through (hence the 15 PGPs after successful certification).
