Taking us to a weird place visually with this one, but the music is good! Hip hop meets violin!
Microsoft Clipchamp is a video editing tool owned by Microsoft that’s designed to be simple, accessible, and education-friendly.
🧰 What It Is
Clipchamp is a drag-and-drop video editor that allows users to:
Trim and split video clips
Add text, transitions, music, and effects
Record webcam and screen
Create voiceovers
Export finished videos easily
It’s built to be beginner-friendly while still offering enough features for polished classroom projects. It is very much like Apple's iMovie application in look and functionality.
Click the Start Menu (Windows icon in the bottom-left corner).
Type Clipchamp in the search bar.
Click Clipchamp when it appears in the results.
If prompted, sign in using your school Microsoft 365 account.
Your Microsoft login is your ADFS + email ending.
Example: ab123456@hebisd.edu
Your password is your normal system password
Click Create a new video to begin editing.
After clicking Export, you can:
Save to OneDrive (most common for school accounts)
→ Automatically uploads to your OneDrive Clipchamp folder.
Download to your device
→ Saves as an MP4 in Downloads, Desktop, or a chosen folder.
🔎 Remember:
Your project stays in Clipchamp for editing.
Your exported video (MP4) is what you submit or share.
Always click Export before closing.
