Hello Bellaire Parents/Guardians,
As we continue through the second six weeks, we are excited to see our students growing academically and building confidence in their learning! Thank you for your continued partnership in supporting your child's success.
We have several exciting events coming up at Bellaire!
📸 Fall Picture Day – Monday, October 19
📅 Thursday, October 22, at 5:30 p.m.
PTA Board Election Meeting (5:30 p.m.): We invite all Bellaire families to attend our PTA Board Elections and get involved in supporting our school community!
Parent Skyward Training (5:30–6:30 p.m.): Join us to learn how to monitor your child's grades, attendance, and academic progress through Skyward.
📚 Book Fair – October 23–29
Our Book Fair will provide a wonderful opportunity for students and families to discover new books and build excitement around reading!
🎯 Attendance Matters – Our Goal is 97%!
Our campus attendance goal is 97% daily attendance, and we need your help to reach it! Every school day matters, and consistent attendance plays a critical role in your child's academic success. When students are at school, they have opportunities to participate in meaningful instruction, build relationships, and develop important skills. Missing even a few days can create gaps in learning.
Please make every effort to ensure your child attends school every day, on time, and ready to learn, unless they are ill.

New Morning Drop-Off Procedures
New Morning Drop-Off Procedures
Bellaire Families,
Please take a moment to review our NEW morning drop-off procedures and parking lot map.
If you would like to park and walk your child to the school entrance, please use the designated parent parking area marked on the map. Using the designated area will help reduce congestion, improve traffic flow, and allow everyone to enter and park safely and efficiently.
If you are using the drop-off lane, please remain in the single drop-off lane and pull forward as far as possible before allowing your child to exit the vehicle. This helps keep traffic moving and reduces delays during morning arrival.
Thank you for your cooperation as we implement these new procedures and work together to keep morning arrival safe, organized, and efficient for our students, families, and staff! 💜🚁

Nuevos Procedimientos para la llegada por la mañana
Familias de Bellaire:
Por favor, tómense un momento para revisar nuestros NUEVOS procedimientos de llegada por la mañana y el mapa del estacionamiento.
Si desean estacionarse y acompañar a su hijo(a) hasta la entrada de la escuela, por favor utilicen el área de estacionamiento designada para padres que está marcada en el mapa. Utilizar el área designada ayudará a reducir la congestión, mejorar el flujo del tráfico y permitir que todos puedan entrar y estacionarse de manera segura y eficiente.
Si utilizan el carril para dejar a los estudiantes, por favor permanezcan en un solo carril y avancen lo más posible antes de permitir que su hijo(a) baje del vehículo. Esto ayudará a mantener el tráfico en movimiento y reducir las demoras durante la llegada por la mañana.

The library is getting into the fall spirit by having a pumpkin character decorating contest. Bellaire Elementary School students and parents are invited to decorate a pumpkin like their favorite book character. It’s easy and fun for the whole family! Students may turn in the completed pumpkin to the school library and enter it into our contest between October 13-23. All entries must be received by 9:00 am the morning of October 23. There will be 4 categories: Prekindergarten/Kindergarten, 1st grade/2nd grade, 3rd grade/4th grade, and 5th grade/6th grade. Winners will be announced Thursday, October 30! Each entry will receive a certificate, and winners will receive a small prize.
Rules:
1. The theme of the pumpkin decorating is “My Favorite Storybook Character.”
2. NO cutting or carving the pumpkin.
3. Materials that may be used for decorating include colors, paint, glue, fabric, paper, costume items, etc.
4. Parents may assist your students, but please let them do the work!
5. No scary, violent, or inappropriate characters, please.
This is your chance to show your creativity and love of books. I can’t wait to see what you create! Good luck!

La biblioteca está entrando en el espíritu del otoño al tener un concurso de personajes de calabazas. Los estudiantes y padres de la Escuela Primaria Bellaire están invitados a decorar una calabaza como su personaje de libro favorito. ¡Es fácil y divertido para toda la familia! Los estudiantes pueden entregar la calabaza completa a la biblioteca de la escuela y participar en nuestro concurso entre el 13 y el 23 de octubre. Todas las inscripciones deben recibirse antes de las 9:00 a. m. de la mañana del 23 de octubre. ¡Los ganadores serán anunciados el jueves 29 de octubre! We encourage all families who think they may qualify to take a few minutes to complete the application. Our goal is to ensure every eligible student receives the meal benefits available to them
