TSDE

In this course students develop keyboarding and touch typing skills as well as correct typing techniques via the use of the computer. Students are taught advanced word processing skills and design concepts in desktop publishing.  In this semester long course, students will practice, learn, and demonstrate correct keyboarding and touch system techniques, correct posture and positions, and the proper care and operation of equipment.   They will experience and demonstrate improvements in speed and accuracy through the composition of various business documents such as business letters, reports and memo type emails.  In these documents they will demonstrate mastery of basic grammar, punctuation, capitalization, and sentence structure. 

CLASSLINK

Access to all student resources is now being offered through ClassLink.  Students can log into their ClassLink account from home and use it to log into Edutyping our online keyboarding software.  Students should open Chrome and use the  ClassLink URL shown below to access their account.  It will be necessary to add the ClassLink extension to Chrome the first time it is used.  To access ClassLink students can log into their school account on Chrome and then use this link.

Students will progress through the curriculum in the sequence below.  The time to complete each unit will vary depending on depth of instruction and student mastery.

Keyboarding Online Resource

TSDE utilizes an online keyboarding software called Edutyping.  Edutyping is available to the students through Classlink.  This software contains all the lessons necessary to learn touch system typing and word processing.
