Spring 2020 Student Needs Assessment information coming soon!
Fall, 2019 Student Needs Survey Information:
With input from the CCCEC Guiding and Steering Teams, the Counselor Optimization Work Team (COWT) created and implemented a county-wide Student Needs Assessment survey. The assessment is designed to help counselors better understand student needs and tailor Tier 1 and potentially Tier 2 interventions to better meet these needs. A student needs assessment is recommended by the Hatching Results team as an important component of a comprehensive counseling program. It complements, and does not replace, the Gallup Student Poll.
- Your district’s members of the Guiding Team and COWT received emails from Michelle Wirth, Research Coordinator at HEA, in June (6/14 & 6/17) with important info, instructions, and links to the Student Needs Assessments (Google Forms surveys) specific to your district. A reminder email was sent 9/5.

The fall 2019 Student Needs Assessment was administered to all students in grades 1-12 by September 30. Counselors should oversee the administration of the assessments. Students in lower grades will need one-on-one help, so plan accordingly.
Please contact Michelle Wirth at mwirth@heaindiana.org with any questions you might have!
