CDC Guidelines for Physical Activity by Age
Preschool-aged Children (ages 3-5)
Physically active throughout the day, especially during play.
School-Aged Children and Adolescents (ages 6-17)
60 minutes of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity every day.
Children and adolescents should try to have a balance of exercise type each week including:
3 days of aerobic exercise (ex: walking or running)
3 days of strengthening exercises (ex: push-ups or sit-ups)
