The class is scheduled to run Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2:45 pm to 9 pm, and Saturdays 8 am to 4:30 pm until March 2 (excluding Family Day Holiday weekend). These times correspond to the "Build Session" entries on the team calendar on 4992.ca and on the Gary Allan High School Robotics Calendar.
Attendance is important because every session comprises 3 or 5 regular 72-minute classes. You must sign in and out. Missed days and missed hours (if you leave early) can be made up during extra sessions TBD. Breaks for meals are built into each session. You should plan to stay on campus during class time by bringing water, snacks, and meals when necessary. In the past team members' parents have been able to step in and provide the whole team with most dinners on weekdays and snacks, bagels, and soup on Saturdays. Communications regarding meals will be found on the team Slack group.
Please put the Slack App on your phone and join Team 4992. Keep an eye on the announcements and nightschool channels.
Communication is important since there will be different groups working on different aspects of the 2024 robot. Please feel free to DM me on Slack with questions or concerns. Please always use your HDSB account when using email.

Learning will be demonstrated through a combination of participation and action, written reports, a diary and interviews. As in all High School courses there is a summative which accounts for 30% of your mark. Specific expectations will be available for all assigned work and evaluation criteria like rubrics will be reviewed and discussed prior to beginning assigned work.
