Ms. Branch is a Registered Nurse who has worked in a variety of healthcare settings. She has cared for medical complex children at Sick Kids, and was selected to teach pediatric nursing internationally. Since then she has cared for post-surgical adult patients at our local hospital. Her background gives her an insight into caring for patients of all ages, while working with other health care staff, including Physicians, Physiotherapists, Dieticians and Biomedical Engineers. Before joining HDSB, Ms. Branch taught Nursing at McMaster University, Mohawk College and Humber College, among others.

Ms. Osmond is a Primary Care Paramedic who brings experience in prehospital emergency patient care. She has responded to emergency medical calls in the community which included providing essential life saving treatments, first aid, and external cardiac defibrillation. Her background gives her an insight into many different health care careers including Registered Nurse, Registered Practical Nurse, Respiratory Therapist, Personal Support Worker and Emergency Room Physician. Before joining HDSB, Ms. Osmond taught the Primary Care Paramedic program at the college level within the GTA.

Ms. Pajek is a Registered Massage Therapist with over fourteen years of experience providing direct clinical patient rehabilitation. She has experience working in a Physiotherapy clinic, Hospice care, performing orthopedic assessments, post operative care and has worked for the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. Ms. Pajek primarily treated patients with Traumatic Brain injuries, Motor Vehicle Collision injuries, post surgical recovery and patients with palliative care requirements.

Ms. Branch, Ms. Osmond and Ms. Pajek are fuelled by their passion for teaching and health care. They are eager to teach and build academic foundations of health care to students. It is their hunger for giving knowledge and determination to turn information into action that has contributed to the SHSM program here at T.A. Blakelock.
