Weekly Newsletter October 30, 2026
A friendly reminder that Daylight Saving Time ends on Sunday, November 1!
Please remember to turn your clocks back one hour before going to bed on Saturday night. This means we gain an extra hour of sleep! 💤
Three of our Robert Little students had the exciting opportunity to participate in the Halton District School Board’s SOO Sports Festival! This special event celebrates students with special education needs, providing an opportunity to showcase their skills, strengths and abilities while building confidence and connecting with peers from across the board.
Our students had the chance to try new things, participate in sporting activities and, most importantly, enjoy an awesome experience!
We are so proud of our three North Stars for representing Robert Little! Way to shine!
Thank you to all the families who donated decor for the dance! The space looked great in combination with the decor students made. Shout out to the student dance decor club for making everything and setting it up at recess!
What a fantastic Halloween celebration at Robert Little!
We absolutely love seeing how much our students get into the Halloween spirit. From creative costumes to big smiles and lots of excitement, our annual Halloween Parade was filled with fun and school spirit!
It was wonderful to see so many parents and family members come out to watch and share in the excitement. Having our families join us makes these special school traditions even more meaningful.
Thank you to everyone who helped make the day so much fun. Our North Stars certainly brought their Halloween spirit!
Shout out to No Frills in town for donating pumpkins for our gallery walk!

Dear Families,
Thank you for your continued support of Robert Little Public School! We appreciate the time and dedication our volunteers bring to our school community.
As a reminder, all school volunteers must have the required Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC), including a Police Record Check (PRC), on file with the school before beginning volunteer duties.
Please review the following important requirements:
New PRC every five years: Effective April 1, 2026, volunteers must provide a new PRC every five years. If your most recent PRC was collected on or before September 1, 2021, you must submit a new one.
Annual Offence Declaration: In the years when a new PRC is not required, volunteers must complete an Annual Offence Declaration each school year.
Missing declarations: If an Annual Offence Declaration is not submitted, your existing PRC and VSC will no longer be valid for volunteering. A new PRC with VSC will be required before you can resume volunteer duties.
Correct police service: Your VSC must be obtained through the police service responsible for the region where you reside.
Online background checks: Online background check services that do not include a Vulnerable Sector Check do not meet HDSB requirements.
If you are planning to volunteer at Robert Little Public School, please ensure your screening documents are up to date. If you are unsure whether your documents are current, please contact the school office before volunteering.
Thank you for helping us keep our North Star community safe!
The HDSB Mobile App consolidates important information for parents/guardians and students into one easy-to-access location. Report absences, receive school and Board news, social media and calendars all in one place. Download the free app on the App Store or Google Play by searching “Halton District School Board” or “HDSB”.
During the app setup process, users will be prompted to “subscribe" to individual schools. This means parents/guardians can customize their news by choosing (tapping) which schools they would like to receive information from, in addition to updates from the Halton District School Board.
Through a simple tap of the app, users have access to a series of icons containing helpful and timely information and resources, such as:
Reporting student absences
School news and calendar feeds
Transportation information and updates
School Cash Online
Notifications about school closures and bus cancellations
Access to school and Board news including media releases, school stories and videos
Links to Board and school social media pages
All school contact information including maps to schools
