As we get ready to celebrate Halloween at Robert Little Public School, we ask families to help ensure that costumes are fun, inclusive, and appropriate for our school community.
Please keep the following expectations in mind:
Fun and respectful: Costumes should be enjoyable and respectful of others.
Cultural sensitivity: Costumes that imitate or stereotype cultural, religious, racial, or gender identities are not appropriate.
Not too scary: Please avoid costumes intended to overly frighten or cause distress to others.
Safety first: Masks that cover the face and replica weapons are not permitted at school.
Food-free classrooms: Please do not send candy, treats, or other food items to school for classroom celebrations. We want to be mindful of student food allergies and ensure a safe, inclusive environment for everyone.
Thank you for helping us make Halloween a fun, safe, and welcoming celebration for all our North Stars!

Dear Families,
Thank you for your continued support of Robert Little Public School! We appreciate the time and dedication our volunteers bring to our school community.
As a reminder, all school volunteers must have the required Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC), including a Police Record Check (PRC), on file with the school before beginning volunteer duties.
Please review the following important requirements:
New PRC every five years: Effective April 1, 2026, volunteers must provide a new PRC every five years. If your most recent PRC was collected on or before September 1, 2021, you must submit a new one.
Annual Offence Declaration: In the years when a new PRC is not required, volunteers must complete an Annual Offence Declaration each school year.
Missing declarations: If an Annual Offence Declaration is not submitted, your existing PRC and VSC will no longer be valid for volunteering. A new PRC with VSC will be required before you can resume volunteer duties.
Correct police service: Your VSC must be obtained through the police service responsible for the region where you reside.
Online background checks: Online background check services that do not include a Vulnerable Sector Check do not meet HDSB requirements.
If you are planning to volunteer at Robert Little Public School, please ensure your screening documents are up to date. If you are unsure whether your documents are current, please contact the school office before volunteering.
Thank you for helping us keep our North Star community safe!
The HDSB Mobile App consolidates important information for parents/guardians and students into one easy-to-access location. Report absences, receive school and Board news, social media and calendars all in one place. Download the free app on the App Store or Google Play by searching “Halton District School Board” or “HDSB”.
During the app setup process, users will be prompted to “subscribe" to individual schools. This means parents/guardians can customize their news by choosing (tapping) which schools they would like to receive information from, in addition to updates from the Halton District School Board.
Through a simple tap of the app, users have access to a series of icons containing helpful and timely information and resources, such as:
Reporting student absences
School news and calendar feeds
Transportation information and updates
School Cash Online
Notifications about school closures and bus cancellations
Access to school and Board news including media releases, school stories and videos
Links to Board and school social media pages
All school contact information including maps to schools
At Robert Little Public School, we use School Cash Online for all payments made to the school. We recommend setting up your account so you are prepared for any fees or purchases that pertain to your student throughout the school year.
Some of the benefits of using School Cash Online include:
Ability to pay by credit card, Visa Debit, or eCheck (directly from your bank account)
Receive reminder emails so you never miss a payment due date
See only items available for purchase online that are applicable to your student(s)
Use Google Translate in over 100 languages to assist you when making purchases
Make an online donation and receive your tax receipt by email
Access support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
Visit hdsb.schoolcashonline.com to sign up today and have the ability to track all payments made.
Please note: You will need your student's Halton Student Number (not the OEN) to set up an account. If you do not have your student's Halton Student Number, please contact the school office at 519-853-2540.
