Our current unit for December will be focusing on:
Reading: Looking at the reading skill "Visualizing". How can readers see the picture of a book in their mind. Can they use their senses to imagine themselves in the book? We will continue working on finding evidence and clues in texts that support our predictions, connections and comprehension questions
Writing: Description paragraphs on people, places and things. We are continuing learning about the writing process and how writers constantly make revisions and edits to their writing to make it their very best work. We are looking at more interesting ways to write words (e.g., instead of saying "It is cool." how can we make it more exciting?)
