Retell A Text

Read your favourite story book, chapter from an unknown text, magazine or newspaper. Then retell it using the Somebody, wanted, but, so, then, finally model (Grade 4). Don't forget to include an introductory sentence and conclusion when responding to reading.

Writing a recount

What important events have been going on in your life lately? Write about your weekend, new pet, broken bone, lost tooth, etc. Don't forget to include an introductory sentence, concluding sentence, transition words and a variety of adjectives to add detail to your writing. Try using Thesaurus.com to discover new adjectives and synonyms to include in your writing.
