A great place to look for new books to engage and challenge your children is to choose from the list of Forest of Reading nominees and winners, both from this year's list and the lists from previous years. Grades recommended for each category:

Blue Spruce: K - Grade 2 (picture books)

Prix Peuplier: Grades 1 - 4 (French) (picture books)

Silver Birch Express: Grades 3 & 4 (mix of more mature picture books and beginning novels)

Prix Mélèze: (formally Prix Tamarac Express) Grades 3 - 6 (French) (mixture of mature picture books and beginning novels)

Silver Birch: Grades 5 & 6 (novels)

Prix Tamarac: Grades 6-8 (French) (novels and occasionally other genre)

Red Maple: Grades 7 & 8 (novels)
