All Volunteer hours should be handed in to Student Services or placed in the drop box outside of Student Services. Please make sure your full name is on the sheets before handing them in.
All hours received are entered into our Student Information System. They are then uploaded to myBlueprint by the Halton District School Board. This will have a time delay so please be patient and do not hand in the hours again if you do not see them in myBlueprint.
Volunteer Hours/Activities
All students must complete 40 volunteer hours as one of the requirements for their Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). Volunteer hours encourages awareness of civic responsibility, and gives the students opportunities to make valuable contributions to their communities. Students may begin accumulating their 40 hours during the summer between Grade 8 and Grade 9.
NEW FOR the 2024/2025 School Year
New in the 2024-2025 school year: Students who complete more than 40 community involvement hours are encouraged to maintain their own record of completed community involvement hours. Secondary schools will no longer track and collect documentation for the completion of community involvement hours beyond the 40 hours required.
Students can check for opportunities available through this website or on the bulletin board across from the Student Services office.
