Registration

All Student Registrations for the 2026/2027 School Year will begin in January 2026.  These registrations are for those families that live within our boundary (see maps below) and do not attend our HDSB feeder schools (Abbey Lane, Heritage Glen, Pilgrim Wood & Morden gifted students).

NEW as of June 15th, 2023

We now accept online registrations for NEW HDSB students who are Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents who reside in Halton through our Parent Portal.  We do not register students who are new to Ontario or Canada, those students must register through the HDSB Welcome Centre.  The online registrations for September 2026 will open in January 2026.

How to Register Online

• Start your pre-registration process by completing the online form

• Request a new account to begin the process

• Once you have submitted the online form, you will receive a confirmation email indicating you’ve successfully completed pre-registration

• Once you have submitted the form, you will be contacted by the school for further direction within 5 to 10 business days

Grade 9 Registration

APHS holds an information evening to welcome parents from our feeder schools (list), Oakville private schools and students of Oakville Catholic schools (living within our catchment area) in November 14th, 2024.  Check the school calendar for the updates and time.  Parents are encouraged to attend and to take the opportunity to meet with the Administrative Team, Guidance Staff and Teachers.  

Staff from our Guidance Office visit the local feeder schools in January to inform students of the opportunities available at APHS and distribute course selection materials.

For students entering Grade 9 who do not attend our feeder schools but live within the Abbey Park catchment, parents will need to complete the Student Registration form through the instructions above.  There are no Registration Deadlines!

Required documents needed for registration include:

• • Student Registration Form - must be completed in full (this is different from the online form that was completed)

  • Proof of child’s age: Canadian Birth Certificate or Passport or Citizenship, Permanent Resident Card

  • Proof of address (any two of the following documents): Signed Purchase or Lease Agreement, Property Tax Bill or Utility Bill (Hydro/Gas), Government Documents (CRA) - Bank Statements, Driver's License, Credit Card Statements, Mobile Phone Bills & Health Cards are not acceptable.

  • Proof of child’s citizenship: Canadian Birth Certificate or Passport or Canadian Citizenship, or Permanent Resident Card

  • Proof of custody: If there is a divided family (divorce/separation) and your child is under 18 you must provide proof of custody (Legal Court Order) MANDATORY

  • Most recent report card for students going into Grade 9 and a Transcript and Credit Counselling Summary for Grade 9 - 12

  • A copy of the student's IEP (Individual Education Plan) if applicable

Out of Area Transfer

Students living outside of the APHS boundaries and wishing to attend must go through the Out of Area Transfer process.  The process is outlined here.
