The Greatest Parts of Grade Five

My biography.

I was born on Victoria Day on May 21, 2007. The whole Canada was celebrating my arrival with fireworks in every city and town. I have basically no memory of when I was little but have to trust my mom’s memory.

I have a sister, who was born 18 months after me. Maria is my only sister. She loves gymnastics and art. She has been going to gymnastics since she was 3 years old! Maria knows how to do splits and cartwheels. In her art projects Maria is using atypical colors. For example, she used blue for the grass and yellow for the clouds. I like her painting and drawing because they put a smile on my face. I’m never alone. Thanks to my sister I will always have someone to play with and talk to.

Until I was 4 we lived on a little cul de sac north of New street. My family moved into a new house right before I started kindergarten at John T. Tuck elementary school. I like my house because it has more space in it than the other one. I also got my own room with a big balcony. My house has a large backyard that me and my friends can play in. We play tag and test out nerf gun ranges. We also have a trampoline that my sister uses more often than I do.

When I was 6 we had to move to The United States of America for 2 years. My mom had work there at Indiana University. We lived in a small town, Bloomington, mostly surrounded by corn fields. The state of Indiana is basically the corn capital of America. Corn there tastes very sweet and juicy. It was also very big. Every single time when we visit friends in Indiana in Summer we buy corn. I started grade 1 in Rogers elementary school. We had very interesting science projects. We hatched chicks and kept Madagascar cockroaches. I made 3 new friends and I’m still in touch with one of them. I’m happy that I have got to experience a whole new country.

When we came back I returned to J.T. Tuck. I was happy to reconnect with old friends and make new ones. Now I am in Mr. Steltmans class. This is the best class ever. We use Chromebooks for every project. We don’t hatch chicks but we get to build robots. I like building robots because after you're done you get to operate them. When I grow up I want to be a computer science Engineer.

I had the most awesome life ever. I hope I will have an even better life when I'm older.
