My First Total Solar Eclipse
On Monday, August 21,2017 people living in North America got to see the solar eclipse. But only those who were on the path of totality got to experience the full solar eclipse. I was among the lucky few. My mom, sister and I drove all the way south to Vienna, Illinois for 14 hours. It was worth it. It was amazing! The moon was slowly covering up the sun until it fully blocked it out. It became dark like at night. Totality only lasted for about 2 minutes and 40 seconds. But still, it was awesome! It got to experience the shortest night of my life. We also got to see our friends there.
