Exam Board: Pearson Edexcel

Structure: There are three components to the course. The first two are controlled assessments and the third is an exam. Component 1 is set a controlled assessment and students will write their coursework based on 3 different tasks that are set by the exam board. The tasks will be based on growth and development and different factors that impact growth and development. Component 2 is the second of the controlled assessments and will be on the structure and benefits of play and then how toys and activities can promote development and learning. Component 3 is the exam and this covers everything up to this point as well as the safety of toys and adapting play for individual needs.
Homework is set bi - weekly on Satchel and consists of reading, case studies and questions that are all exam practise for you. Make sure you complete the work and speak to your teacher if you have any issues.
