Mrs. Chandler is so excited to begin working with the Eagle and Wildcat Bands this year! She is a National Board Certified Teacher and has been an instrumental music teacher since 2012, beginning her career in Washington County, MD, before joining Howard County in 2018. She received her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from the University of Maryland - College Park and took graduate courses at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. She has performed on the saxophone with several regional wind ensembles, including the Maryland Band Directors' Band and the Hagerstown Municipal Band.
She loves taking nature walks around Baltimore and Howard County and chilling on the couch with her pet cat, Leo. She is an avid reader, video gamer (she'd love to hear your Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom tips), crocheter, and lives in Baltimore City. Her husband is an orchestra teacher in HCPSS, so if you see Mrs. Chandler at a Mt. Hebron or Patapsco concert, please say hi!
