Every band student will need a copy of Accent on Achievement Book 1. This is a method book and contains many songs and musical exercises we will play in class.
Please be sure that the Accent on Achievement Book 1 book you purchase matches your child's instrument. The instrument will be listed in the upper-right-hand corner. The book in this example image is for the Flute. If your child plays the clarinet, they will need a clarinet book. A trombone player will need a trombone book, and so on.
These books are available at the local music stores, and can also be found easily online. If you find a gently used book for sale online and would like to check that it is the correct one, please do not hesitate to reach out to Mrs. Chandler.
Percussion students will need Accent on Achievement Book 1 for Combined Percussion and Alfred's Drum Method Book 1.

Flute: clearing rod/cloth
Clarinet: six or more reeds (size 2 for 4th and size 2.5 for 5th), cork grease
Saxophone: six or more reeds (size 2 for 4th and size 2.5 for 5th), cork grease, neck strap
Oboe: 2 oboe double reeds, oboe reed case, silk oboe swab (please contact director for oboe info)
