Digital Resources
for our students and teachers

Updated 8/31/2020: If you are receiving a Content Keeper page that asks for a username and password please try the following -

Close all of the tabs in the browser.
Sign out of the chromebook and log back in.
Wait on the status bar to load all the way across.
Open a new tab and you should see a green "on" CK Authenticator in the upper right corner like the example at the right.
If you see this green circle like the example you should be able to go to any allowed website without entering a user name or password.

You can also try to remove the user by clicking on the dropdown arrow next to the name and then remove user. Restart the chromebook and add the user back from the option at the bottom.

In order to ensure Hawkins County Schools students have access to learning materials during our school closure, our district's educators have compiled high-quality resources that support curriculum goals. We encourage each student to dedicate time each day to continue learning. Our primary goal is the safety of our children and families, but we want to ensure that you have instructional resources to support your child's learning opportunities while at home. We encourage every family to take measures to stay healthy. Teachers will be in contact via email, phone calls, and other methods in addition to providing resources on this site.

The categories at the left are listed by grade band. Each grade band has district-level resources which students can access in their Clever Portal. Students will access external resources from links within Clever, Google Classroom or Canvas (9-12 once implemented) provided by their teachers. In addition, each school has access to school-specific resources. Teachers may communicate with you to assign school-specific resources and assignments via an online learning management system (i.e. Google Classroom or Canvas).

We will continue adding to these resources as needed. Reading is one of the most important activities that students can engage in during the school closure. We encourage parents and students to formulate a schedule that allows time for academic work each day such as reading, packet work, or digital work, but we also encourage regular play, physical activity, artistic pursuits, and other non-academic pursuits that will contribute to student well-being.

Student & Teacher Access
to HCS Digital Resources

Students and teachers will log into the Clever Portal (https://clever.com/in/hck12) to access the digital resources that are currently used by our district's schools. Resources accessible on the portal will be specific to the student and teacher based on grade level and current subscriptions. Parents and guardians of elementary students should receive communication with the students login information from the classroom teacher. Should you or your student have digital resource questions, first reach out to your child's teacher. For student and parent help please click here.

Important: Access to the Clever Portal is optimized through the use of the Google Chrome Browser, and students need to ensure they are the only person logged into the Google Chrome Broswer with their @students.hck12.net account. You will get a log in error if someone is logged in with a personal@gmail account. For log in instructions please click here.

Family Access Portal in Clever is now available!

Parents and guardians,

Clever has created a new module so you can create your own Clever account to help your students with logging in and other resources. You will be receiving an email soon with instructions to set up your account. Please make sure that you have a current email address in Skyward to receive the email.

If you need further technology support or if you are experiencing log in issues, please reach out to Sheila Peters via email or phone: 1-423-272-7629 ext. 2031
