Mission

Holyoke Community College’s Learning Collaborative (The Collaborative) supports a culture of inclusion, innovation, and collaboration through quality professional development and access to progressive technology tools. The Collaborative offers opportunities for employees to share and develop best practices to meet the diverse needs of our students and to foster student success through faculty and staff engagement.

VISION

Develop HCC’s cultural capacity for change by equipping faculty and staff with a venue in which to collaborate, share knowledge, and mobilize cooperative solutions using an equity approach to student engagement.

GOALS

GOAL ONE: Promote faculty and staff professional development by providing meaningful opportunities for training and exposure to innovative practice

GOAL TWO: Foster/Develop culturally responsive pedagogies and equity-based approaches with special emphasis on the college's status as a Hispanic-Serving Institution

GOAL THREE: Ensure alignment with institutional priorities such as the college’s strategic plan and the Massachusetts Department of Higher Education's Strategic Plan for Racial Equity

GOAL FOUR: Support collaboration/build community between staff and faculty
