A residential centers provide care for individuals who suffer from a mental illness, or whose disability is so severe they cannot live independently, or the elderly population. Residential centers may also be referred to as skilled nursing facility, long-term care facilities, assisted living facilities, and/or care homes.
Apply for the NOW/COMP waiver, the sooner the better (see Waiver/Grants tab). You need this waiver if you want residential service costs covered for you or you will have to self-pay.
Having the NOW/COMP waiver will help you! Apply TODAY! The more severe the need the faster you will be approved.

Transitional Housing Resources
DBHDD offers different levels of residency programs to facilitate least restrictive living, promoting recovery-oriented environments, independent living, and maximizing quality of life. These programs are primarily for adult referrals who have received treatment services in a forensic program at a Regional Hospital, and who meet the criteria for outpatient civil commitment as determined by the Court.
