Amount: Each winner who continues to meet the criteria is eligible to receive an annual award of $5,000 for up to four (4) consecutive years for a potential total $20,000 scholarship.

Requirements: Applicants must be a current high school senior living with a disability whether that be visual, hearing, mobility, cognitive, speech or other disability. They must plan to attend an undergraduate program in a 2 or 4-year University/College or Technical College in the fall of the academic year following high-school graduation. Schools must be in the USA or have a USA-Affiliate for financial transactions. Applicants must declare an approved major in engineering, computer science, computer information systems, law, business, or a related field. Applicants must demonstrate a passion for technology. Applicants must demonstrate leadership at school and/or in the community. Applicants must have a high school cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher. Applicants must require financial assistance to attend college, and enrollment status must be full-time or half-time.

Vision Impaired (VI) Scholarship List

Amount: $2,000 to $7,500
Application Due Date: Applications for the 2023 - 2024 school year can be submitted online from Tuesday, November 1, 2022 to Tuesday, February 14, 2023 11:59pm (CST).
Requirements: To be eligible for a scholarship, applicants need to be legally blind, maintain a 3.0 GPA to be eligible for most scholarships, be a full-time student (as well as students who work 32 or more hours per week and attend college part time), and be involved in their school/local community. Scholarships are awarded to students who attend a post-secondary institution in the United States.

Requirements: All scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic excellence, community service, and leadership. Applicants must be legally blind in both eyes, be a resident of the U.S., be pursuing or planning to pursue a full-time, post-secondary course of study in a degree program at a U.S. institution in the fall of the year of application, and be able to participate in the entire NFB National Convention and in all of its scheduled scholarship program activities.
