Below is information on:
Bethany Harris Memorial Scholarship: current Highland Student re-enrolled for the next school year
La. Gator, ACE or Arete: current Scholarship Recipient
La. Gator: current/new applicants
For several years now we have been able to offer the Bethany Harris Memorial Scholarship.
Applicants must be current Highland students that are re-enrolled for the next school year.
Please take the time to read below on who Bethany Harris was and what she meant to Highland.
Bethany Harris
For several years Bethany was a Highland High School English Teacher who eventually became our PK4 Teacher for a few years. She was an exceptional teacher and person. Whether she was teaching our teenagers or little ones they all adored her the same. Parents and Coworkers adored her just as much.
She had a one of a kind personality with a contagious smile. Always striving to make the day or school year better for each student. Her passion to teach kids was evident. Students knew they meant something to her.
Though her time at Highland was filled with giving to others and teaching, her true calling was being a Mom! She was an incredible mom to 3 beautiful children. Two daughters and one son; Lillian (Lilly), Elizabeth (Lizzy) and Charlie Harris. Her love and pride for them showed in her eyes daily.
We have been blessed to continue to watch them grow through their school years here at Highland.
Her family, previous students and coworkers miss seeing her smile, hearing her laugh and the spirit she brought when she was around.
Thanks to her Family who began a Scholarship in her name and to donations from others we are able to offer this Scholarship to Highland Students.
The Bethany Harris Memorial Scholarship is a scholarship opportunity offered to only Current Highland Students that are re-enrolled for the next school year.
If you or someone you know would like to donate to this Scholarship please contact me for more information.
In Memory of Bethany we also sell the attached poster with one of the many Bible Verses that gave her comfort through her illness. The proceeds from this poster help fund her Scholarship. The posters are $50 and are available in the school office.
