Our goal is to support your daughters in learning how to manage their technology and find balance in its use. We have been using iPads in the classroom for over a decade. In the past few years with the influx of social media, we have discovered that managing the iPad is the number one issue we encounter in the classroom and hear about from families at home. Each student is at a different point in their journey of learning to self-regulate their technology use, and we are working to best support students in finding their way in this area. As a result, the Hathaway Brown iPad program has designed this multi-layered plan for iPad use and management.

A home use contract is a wonderful way for students and parents/guardians to discuss expectations for home use of the iPad (and other devices). This document can be modified to meet the needs of your family. Post it on your fridge and revisit it occasionally as a reminder of these expectations. This document is for home use only and does not need to be returned to school.

The student handbook includes the Responsible Use Policy. We ask that students read this document and understand the expectations of use as detailed in this policy.
