Ms. Juarez

Hello parents, guardians, and families!

My name is Vanessa Juarez and I will be serving as your Wallace Middle School 6th grade and 7th grade (A-L) counselor. I am very excited to start the school year with you and your children! 

As your counselor, I offer many services including quick student check-ins, classroom guidance lessons, small group counseling, and short-term individual counseling sessions. I will also serve as your Gifted and Talented campus contact.

I attended the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, earning a BBA in Accounting.  After a few years in this field, I found myself wanting to do more with my career. I had always been drawn to helping people grow and learn so I went back to school and earned a Master's degree in Bilingual Education with a teaching certification from Texas State University. After teaching for 16 years, I returned to school, and in 2018 earned a Master's in School Counseling degree through the University of Texas at Tyler, and I have been counseling ever since.
