Debate

Debate is a co-curricular activity that students have the chance to participate in during the fall. We participate in policy debate which is the predominant form of debate throughout Kansas. Policy debate involves 2 teams comprised of 2 debaters, 1 affirmative team and 1 negative team. They will debate a resolution which for the 2022-2023 school year is Resolved: The United States federal government should substantially increase its security cooperation with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization in one or more of the following areas: artificial intelligence, biotechnology, cybersecurity. The affirmative will propose a plan to solve for this resolution, and the negative will tell us why enacting the plan either wouldn't work or would be a bad thing.
