KU scholarships will be based on GPA only for Fall 2023.
Welcome back to another school year! The University of Kansas is pleased to announce new automatic scholarships based on GPA only for students entering KU in Fall 2022 directly from high school. Students will automatically receive this scholarship if they meet the GPA requirements and apply online by the deadline.
Students self-report their cumulative GPA at the time of application. Transcripts are not required at the time of admission but students have the option to upload an unofficial transcript if using the KU application (or the high school can send if using the Common App). Unofficial transcripts can also be emailed to processing@ku.edu.
Fall 2022 In-State Freshman Merit Scholarships
The priority deadline for submitting an application to ensure scholarship consideration is December 1, 2022. Students who apply by December 1 have until February 1 to provide an updated 7th semester GPA, if higher, for scholarship reconsideration.
If a student applies by the Early Action application deadline of November 1, 2022, they’ll obtain KU swag, as well as receive early access to on-campus housing selection (first come, first serve) and orientation registration.
The KU Office of Admissions will communicate with you soon regarding upcoming virtual counselor events and other important information.
If you have any questions, please contact your KU Admissions Representative or contact the Office of Admissions at admissions@ku.edu or 785-864-3911.
