While we can't provide the in-depth, long-term therapy a trained clinician can, we can help provide day-to-day support, a listening ear, and some suggestions on where to go for further support if needed.

The Clay County Local Advisory Council on Children's Mental Health puts out a revised version of this resource brochure each year. It's designed to assist parents of children with mental health needs navigate some of the resources in the area. Local Counseling Services

School-based Mental Health Services through The Village Family Service Center

Students can be seen at school during the school day by a licensed mental health counselor. Services can be continued during the summer at the school. See your school counselor for more information and a referral.

REACH - Rural Enrichment & Counseling

REACH has a variety of providers - The Village Family Service Center, Valley Christian Counseling, and Rape and Abuse Crisis Center. Services through Rape and Abuse Crisis Center are always free of charge. If finances are a barrier, REACH may be able to work with you to offer services on a sliding fee scale.

Prairie offers a full psychiatric and addiction Continuum of Care. This Continuum of Care includes inpatient hospitalization, partial hospitalization (day treatment), residential treatment, intensive outpatient services and clinic services.
