Congress, or Congressional Debate, is a mock congress where groups of student representatives debate if we should or should not pass various laws. Students give 2-3 minute speeches either affirming or negating the legislation, and then are subject to a questioning period by other debaters. Congressional Debate is a great way to learn a lot about a wide variety of topics and hear different viewpoints about each topic. As well, congressional debaters learn about what domestic and world issues leaders discuss around the globe.
