We invite operators, engineers, regulators, and researchers to present at the 2026 HRWA Training & Technical Conference. Abstracts are limited to 500 words and presentations run 90 minutes (including Q&A).

Key Deadlines

•      Abstracts and presenter bios due: Monday, August 17, 2026

•      Presenters notified by: Friday, September 18, 2026

•      Final presentation slides due: Monday, October 19, 2026

Water

Regulatory & compliance, distribution, treatment, operations & maintenance, technologies & innovation, funding & asset management.

Wastewater

Regulatory & compliance, collection systems, treatment, energy management, technologies & innovation, funding & asset management.

Resilience & Resources

Climate resilience and drought, wellhead and source water protection, cybersecurity and emergency response, workforce and apprenticeship, community and educational outreach, partnerships and mutual aid.

Selection Criteria

•      Originality and relevance to Hawai'i and Pacific rural utilities

•      Technical content and depth

•      Quality and clarity

•      Alignment with the People, Pipes & Partnerships theme

•      Practical, take-home value for operators and managers

Speaker Logistics

•      HRWA does not provide travel funds for speakers

•      Speakers cover their own travel, lodging, and registration

•      Registration fee is waived for the day of the presentation

•      Lunch and parking provided on the day of the presentation
